Together, We Make Magic Happen: Share Your Expertise at IAACE 2026

The deadline to submit a proposal for the 2026 IAACE Conference is this Friday.

If you’re thinking, “I don’t have anything to present,” think again.

One of the biggest misconceptions about conference presentations is that they have to be groundbreaking, polished, or created by someone who considers themselves an expert. The truth is that some of the most valuable conference sessions come from practitioners sharing what they’re doing every day.

You don’t need a perfect presentation.

You need a useful idea.

The theme for the 2026 IAACE Conference is “Together, We Make Magic Happen.” That magic happens when educators, administrators, support staff, and partners share what works, what they’ve learned, and even what didn’t go as planned.

Indiana adult education is filled with innovative people solving challenges, helping students succeed, building partnerships, and finding creative ways to meet the needs of learners. Those ideas deserve to be shared.

Consider these questions:

• Have you found a strategy that improved student retention?
• Have you used AI to save time or improve instruction?
• Have you developed a successful workforce partnership?
• Have you created a new classroom activity that students love?
• Have you improved enrollment, orientation, testing, or data processes?
• Have you found a better way to engage learners?
• Have you led a successful staff development initiative?
• Have you implemented an Integrated Education and Training program?
• Have you learned an important lesson from a challenge or setback?
• Have you discovered strategies for preventing burnout, maintaining balance, or finding joy while doing the important work of adult education?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you may already have a conference session.

The adult education community grows stronger when we learn from one another. Your experience could save another program time, inspire a new approach, or help a colleague overcome a challenge they are currently facing.

Don’t let your idea stay within your classroom, office, or program.
