Dallas Trip- COABE 2025

There were so many opportunities to expand my knowledge of adult education as I attended outstanding sessions! These were some of my favorites: implementation of an entrepreneurship class, setting up a (post-secondary) community college counseling program, best ways to assist Internationally Trained Professionals in evaluating/translating their foreign credentials, and how to use the SkillBlox platform to boost students’ and teachers’ digital literacy skills while organizing digital content.

I enjoyed amazing conversations with my colleagues while dining on delicious food! There were also inspirational speakers who challenged us to stay the course and not be distracted by all the chaos: “Motivation is like showering- It needs to happen every day- even the smallest increment of an action step (just choosing to smile at someone) will make a difference!” I really do feel rejuvenated!
