Share the Indiana Way at COABE 2026: Answering the Call at the Crossroads of Adult Education

Indiana is proud to host the COABE 2026 Conference, and we’re calling on our incredible community of adult educators to step up and share the Indiana way on a national stage. With this year’s theme, “Crossroads of Adult Education: Empowering the Future of America,” there’s never been a better time to highlight how Indiana is shaping the future of learners, families, and communities.

We’re already gearing up for a powerful IAACE 2025 Conference this fall in Michigan City, where Indiana educators will share innovative practices, community partnerships, and inspiring stories. We are sure to Hit it Out of the Park. If you’ve already submitted a proposal to IAACE—or plan to by the Friday, June 6 deadline—you’re halfway there. That same great session can be adapted and elevated for a national audience at COABE 2026.

The “Crossroads” theme speaks deeply to Indiana’s identity—not just as the literal crossroads of America, but as a hub where bold ideas meet practical solutions. From workforce development to digital literacy, from second chances to future-ready skills, Indiana educators are leading the charge.

🌟 So here’s the challenge:

  • What does “empowering the future of America” look like in your program?

  • What strategies are helping adult learners in your community rewrite their stories?

  • What partnerships, pilots, or programs are putting Indiana at the forefront of adult education?

Let’s make sure the voices of Indiana’s educators and learners are center stage when COABE 2026 comes to Indianapolis, April 12–16, 2026.

📝 The COABE Call for Proposals is open now through June 30, 2025.
Submit your session idea, share your expertise, and represent Indiana with pride.

Let’s meet at the crossroads and show the rest of the country how Indiana empowers the future—one learner at a time.
