Potluck Resources

Join Us for Today’s Teachers Talk: Potluck Resources

We are thrilled to invite you to today’s Teachers Talk, which will take place at 11 a.m. CT / 12 p.m. ET on Zoom. This month’s theme is “Potluck Resources,” and we couldn’t be more excited to see what each of you brings to the table—literally and figuratively!

What is Teachers Talk?

Teachers Talk is a monthly gathering of educators who share ideas, strategies, and resources. It’s a fantastic opportunity to network, learn from each other, and build a stronger community dedicated to adult education.

What to Expect Today

In the spirit of a potluck, we ask that each participant bring a “resource dish” to share. This could be a favorite lesson plan, an innovative teaching tool, a success story, or even a challenge you’re facing that others might help with. The idea is to create a rich buffet of resources everyone can benefit from.

Agenda:

  • 12:00 pm ET: Welcome and Introduction
    • Brief overview of the session and today’s theme by our host.
  • 12:10 pm ET: Sharing Resources
    • Each participant will have a few minutes to present their resource.
    • Interactive discussion and Q&A after each presentation.
  • 12:50 pm ET: Open Discussion
    • Time for participants to ask questions, seek advice, and share additional thoughts.
  • 1:00 pm ET: Wrap-Up
    • Summary of key takeaways.
    • Information on next month’s Teachers Talk.

Why Participate?

  1. Exchange Ideas: This is your chance to hear what’s working for others and share your own successes. We all have unique experiences and insights that can inspire and assist our peers.
  2. Solve Problems: Do you have a teaching challenge? Bring it to the group! Our community’s collective wisdom can provide fresh perspectives and solutions.
  3. Build Connections: Networking with fellow educators can lead to collaborations, support networks, and lifelong professional friendships.
  4. Stay Informed: Learn about new tools, techniques, and trends in adult education that can enhance your teaching practice.
