What if… Questions about 2021 Connect Four Conference Answered

The conference is two weeks away!

 

What if you are not registered for IAACE Connect Four Conference 2021?

Late In-person &  Virtual Ticket registrations are due Friday, September 17, 11:00 pm.  There are no refunds after Friday, September 17, you may change your ticket to virtual OR transfer it to another person. To purchase a ticket visit https://iaace.com/2021-conference-registration/

IMPORTANT NOTE: An auto email is sent to every registered attendee for the IAACE Conference. It would have gone to the email you put in your ticket. The subject is Event Registration: IAACE 2021 Fall Conference. It looks like the picture below. If you did not receive you should check your spam or junk folder. If you do not have it, you MAY NOT be registered. Remember there will be NO walk-in registrations, verify that you are REGISTERED! PLEASE check your email for your Event Registration.

What if I need a hotel reservation?

The hotel will allow bookings until we are sold out.  All the information is at:

What if I want to know the sessions available for the breakouts?

The schedule is subject to change up to conference time but see all the sessions at:

What if I don’t know the time zone the conference is observing?

Michigan City is on Central Daylight Time.  That is one hour behind Eastern time. All times in all communications are in Central Daylight Time.
What if my region or organization wants to donate a prize basket to the door prizes for the conference? (We are accepting virtual gifts as well)

What if I’m attending the IAACE Connect Four Conference virtually?

The platform we are using is our Connectable platform at virtual.iaace.com.  An Email will be sent to all attendees that include instructions on how to create a Login with the email that you purchased your ticket. You will create a password, be sure to document that password and note it for the conference days.  If you attended the Virtual Institute you will utilize that login and a membership to the Connect Four Conference will be created for you.  Our team is working hard to get everything set up.

Does my in-person ticket include a platform membership?

What if I want to bring a guest to the Awards Banquet on Friday, October 1 at 11:00 am Central?

The Friday-only ticket is $39 (the price of the meal) for the banquet and may be purchased on the ticket page up to Friday, September 24th. All guests may arrive between 10:30 am and 11:00 am central to arrive on time for lunch served at 11:00 am central.  The program will begin at noon central.

What if I selected that I want to volunteer for the conference?

We are very excited to have volunteers signed up for the conference! We need facilitators, exhibitor helpers, technology help, iaace table help, photographers, and more! Emails have been sent to sign up for facilitating sessions. We will assign as many duties as possible prior to the conference mainly by email.

What if I need Professional Development Points?

The conference program will have a certificate available for each attendee to track the sessions they attend.  Each attendee will complete the certificate and keep the certificate for their records. The form will be available for download within the virtual.iaace.com platform.

What if I want a printout of the sessions or a printed program?

IAACE is saving trees this year. If you want a hard copy of the sessions or the program. Visit the Conference page and utilize the Sessions and Keynote button or program button and download and print yourself a copy prior to the conference and bring it.  We suggest you wait until Monday, September 27 to complete this as the schedule is subject to change until the conference.

What if I don’t want to print but I’ll need the information at the conference?

Bring a Smartphone, tablet, or laptop. We will have QR Codes available throughout the conference to scan and open the sessions/program on your device.

What if I need a bag to carry my device or other stuff during the conference?

The gift for the all-in-person attendees is a bag. It has the Indiana Adult Education logo.

What if I forget my mask when I come to Blue Chip?

One disposable mask will be provided to each in-person attendee in the gift bag. As Sheila mentioned in her message. Wednesday’s theme for masks will be educational, Thursday will be funny and Friday will be your favorite.  Bring your masks and enter to win each day!
