Adult Education and Family Literacy Week #AEFLWeek
September 20-26, 2020
Indiana— Monday, September 21, 2020 — Indiana Association for Adult Continuing Education (IAACE) celebrates the National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, September 20-26, 2020.
“We aim to celebrate the adult education system across Indiana and raise our voices to share successes and awareness of services across the state,” said Jennifer Wigginton, Executive Director at IAACE.
Positive Customer Impact
Many adults have benefited from the services provided across the state from the over 60 Adult Education and Literacy Services providers. These providers have enabled over 15,000 students to obtain employability skills, measurable skills gain, high school equivalencies, and industry credentials.
“I am only 20 years old and I can honestly say I love my job!” Emma, “Because of my education and training I can finally support myself and my son all on my own.”
Providers across the state strive to serve the 111,000 young adults not attending High School and the 454,327 adults 18-64 without a High School Diploma. You may locate a provider across the state at https://www.in.gov/dwd/adulted.htm or https://www.nld.org/.
