Howdy, Hi and Salutations!

Let me start with I don’t make resolutions! I generally choose a word of the year and try to create goals around that.  Last year my word was Simplicity! I aimed at keeping things more straightforward. For example, read a book a month. So I could ask myself questions for reflection and review, like:

What went super in 2018?

What didn’t go super in 2018?

What did I learn in 2018?

But I’d rather keep it real simple.  Things went simply super!  If you read my blog back in July when I started, you know we “glamp,” we run an Amateur Golf Tour, I do yoga, Toastmasters and photography.  So here are the simple facts. We spent a lot of time in the RV. We had a wonderful trip to Hilton Head Island.  We spent a lot of time with our dogs and our granddaughters.  Our golf tour grew in membership.  I spent more time this year than last year on my yoga mat. I enjoyed shooting lots of photos to document all the memories. I read a book a month.  I didn’t always finish them in the same month and okay I might not have completed one of them at all, but the last book I read in 2018 was Girl, Wash Your Face, and I enjoyed it so much that it changed the way I’m looking at my goals for 2019.  Instead of a word for the whole year, I’m going to inspire myself with a monthly mantra this month; I am grateful for all that is unfolding in my life and all that is yet to come.

I’m very grateful for this role as your Executive Director, and as you might remember, my goal in this position is to build relationships and make connections. And of course, plan a fabulous conference that inspires and motivates. I’ve heard from several of you, and I’m happy to say that you are reading this blog on a new website. It has one huge improvement, a membership system that allows you to log in, build your profile and connect with  462  members.  WOW! That is precisely what you have been asking to include in your membership, a way to connect and build relationships. Next up, a great conference! So go ahead and stop reading and get started.
