Advocacy With Rob

I was honored by the invitation of our president Michelle Davis to serve as chair of IAACE’s Advocacy Committee. I am also grateful of our members have agreed to serve as members of the Advocacy Committee. Heading into a budget year in the state Legislature (January –April 2019), we will need everyone’s help to communicate the good work we are doing for our students to the leaders and elected officials in our communities.

To support us in that effort, our Advocacy Committee members are designated to support the IAACE members in these regions:

Region 1—Cynthia Warner-Lowe (Director of Adult Education for the School City of Hammond)
Regions 2 and 3—Caroline Foster (Assistant Director of Adult Education at the Impact Institute)
Regions 4 and 6—Polly Redmond (Director of Adult Education at the Hinds Career Center
Region 7, 8 and 9—Rob Moore (Director of Adult Education for the Monroe County Community School Corporation)
Regions 5 and 12—Sara Gutting (Adult Education Instructor at the Hamilton County Jail)
Regions 10 and 11—Lauren Bell (Director of Adult Education for Vincennes University)

These regional contacts will be in touch with you this year to ask for your help in communicating data and success stories and inviting key stakeholders to our programs. So please help us when they call! We need participation from every program.
